The 2016 WUSV IGP World Championships in Meppen, Germany was a milestone not only personally but historically — it marked the first time Australia was officially represented at a WUSV World Championship event. I had the immense honour of stepping onto the world stage with Kita (Jabina Nala), carrying the Australian flag into international competition.

It was absolutely petrifying at first, but an incredible lesson in how to manage nerves, focus under pressure, and stay true to our training. The objective that year was clear: to achieve a passing score and prove that Australia deserved to compete at this level. Kita succeeded, earning a passing score and placing 92nd in the world — firmly inside the top 100.

This journey would not have been possible without the vision and support of our governing body, the Working German Shepherd & Dogsport Clubs of Australasia (WGSDCA), who opened the doors for Australian competitors to step onto the global IGP stage. I remain deeply grateful for their leadership.

A heartfelt thank you also to the Danish team, who generously offered help and encouragement throughout the event, and to my Danish family, who came to Germany to cheer us on. Your support turned a daunting experience into a cherished memory.

Licensed breeder of German Shepherd dogs via Dogs NSW #2100075821

Our aim is to uphold the legacy of the German Shepherd as a true working breed — with honesty, discipline, and deep respect for its origin.

We breed selectively, only when pursuing the next generation for our own kennel.

We welcome genuine expressions of interest from those seeking a working-line German Shepherd puppy bred with purpose and from parents with proven sound temperament, strong working potential, and a clear head. Our dogs are placed with working homes, experienced handlers, or dedicated families who value the importance of structure, training, and meaningful engagement. Kanikular puppies are raised in our home, not kennels — surrounded by daily household life, exposed to children, and handled with care. Each puppy undertakes early socialisation and age-appropriate exposure to new environments, sounds, and people help prepare them for a confident and balanced start in life.
