Cirsei recently ventured into new territory with her first breed survey under the German Shepherd Council of Australia (GSDCA). It was a bit daunting for us, as we stepped into the “show world” of the German Shepherd Dog, but Cirsei showed us just how adaptable and capable she is. She did absolutely awesome, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience — thanks to the well-organized arrangements by the German Shepherd League of NSW.
Excerpt from her Breed Survey:
(57 cm) Medium size, just medium strong, well pigmented, grey sable, dry and firm female of working type. Cirsei is stretched in her height-to-length proportions, expressive and feminine with a well-formed head, eyes that are a little round of medium color, good masking. Firm well-set ears that are a little small in their size. Good neck, slight nick behind high withers, straight back, short croup. Well-placed shoulder where the upper arm is well angled but could be a little longer. Very good hindquarter angulation. Well muscled and pronounced ore and very good length of the lower chest. She stands and steps wide at front, with good foreleg length, correct at rear. Good firmness of hocks and slightly loose elbows. In movement, she has good drive and reach with a firm straight back and good length of stride. Very good muscle development. Amendable character and gun sure.
This breed survey was not just about confirming her physical attributes but also a valuable step in her overall development as a German Shepherd Dog — highlighting both her working strength and her adaptability in the show environment.
We couldn’t be more proud of Cirsei for handling the experience so well. She continues to show promise in both her working abilities and her overall structure, proving that she’s not only true to the working standard but also possesses the qualities that are valued in the breed as a whole.

Licensed breeder of German Shepherd dogs via Dogs NSW #2100075821
Our aim is to uphold the legacy of the German Shepherd as a true working breed — with honesty, discipline, and deep respect for its origin.
We breed selectively, only when pursuing the next generation for our own kennel.
We welcome genuine expressions of interest from those seeking a working-line German Shepherd puppy bred with purpose and from parents with proven sound temperament, strong working potential, and a clear head. Our dogs are placed with working homes, experienced handlers, or dedicated families who value the importance of structure, training, and meaningful engagement. Kanikular puppies are raised in our home, not kennels — surrounded by daily household life, exposed to children, and handled with care. Each puppy undertakes early socialisation and age-appropriate exposure to new environments, sounds, and people help prepare them for a confident and balanced start in life.
