What an exhilarating adventure it has been for Kanikular Blast of Bindee as she proudly flew the flag for Australia at the 2023 WUSV IGP World Championships! This monumental event is now part of history, but the pride, insights, and unforgettable memories we've gathered will last a lifetime.

The journey from Australia to Hungary was no small feat. Preparing both the dogs and handlers for a global event of this magnitude demanded immense dedication and effort. Competing alongside some of the world's elite handlers and trainers is a triumph in itself, and Bindee and I, together with Glynis and Fynn, were incredibly honored to represent Australia. 🇦🇺🐾

As we all know, success in IGP is a team endeavor, and the effort that went into getting the team from Australia to Europe was no small task. The journey was long, but the experience was invaluable.

Kanikular Kennels would like to seize this opportunity to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this journey possible:

  • To the competitors’ families, friends, supporters, and donors, thank you for your unwavering support. Your encouragement made representing Australia not just possible, but even more meaningful.

  • To the Working German Shepherd & Dogsport Clubs of Australasia, our governing body — thank you for giving us the opportunity to compete on the world stage of IGP. We are deeply grateful for your support. And a huge thank you to our sponsor, K9 Pro - The K9 Professionals, for providing the team uniforms.

  • To Clint Wehmeier, our team leader — thank you for keeping the team organized, well-fed, and focused throughout the event. Your dedication behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly, and we couldn't have done it without you.

  • And finally, a huge thanks to everyone involved in making this event possible. The coordination, communication, and logistical effort that went into getting the dogs to Hungary and back home was a monumental task, but it was worth every bit of hard work. This event has taught us so much, and we can’t wait to apply all the lessons learned in future competitions.

We look forward to the future, knowing that the lessons learned and the bonds forged will continue to fuel our ambitions in IGP.

Licensed breeder of German Shepherd dogs via Dogs NSW #2100075821

Our aim is to uphold the legacy of the German Shepherd as a true working breed — with honesty, discipline, and deep respect for its origin.

We breed selectively, only when pursuing the next generation for our own kennel.

We welcome genuine expressions of interest from those seeking a working-line German Shepherd puppy bred with purpose and from parents with proven sound temperament, strong working potential, and a clear head. Our dogs are placed with working homes, experienced handlers, or dedicated families who value the importance of structure, training, and meaningful engagement. Kanikular puppies are raised in our home, not kennels — surrounded by daily household life, exposed to children, and handled with care. Each puppy undertakes early socialisation and age-appropriate exposure to new environments, sounds, and people help prepare them for a confident and balanced start in life.
